The taxes commercial truck carriers pay on diesel and gasoline increased in July as several states experienced an increase, according to the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy. At least eight states increased their gasoline tax rates on July 1 in an effort to keep pace with growing gasoline prices. Truck sector cuts cost while hiring more
The trucking industry鈥檚 continued growth has led more and more carriers to consider alternative fuels like natural gas as a way to cut costs while also hiring more and more drivers to meet growing demand.
